A303 – Highways England Preferred Route Announcement

In October 2017, Highways England (HE) announced their preference for Option 1 – the southerly route closest to the village of West Camel.  HE will now work only on settling the detail of this option before the next stage of process.

West Camel Parish Council held an extraordinary General Meeting on 17th November at The Davis Hall to discuss the next steps in order that this preferred route takes our concerns and needs fully into account.

This can be completed on line HERE, or by forms available from The Davis Hall, any WCPC member, or the clerk.  Please see the information below that may help you make an informed response, and we would also like to hear any specific concerns or ideas you might have on this response or by email.

Outline B

This is a suggested option from WCPC that there will NO INTERCHANGE between Hazlegrove and Podimore and there should be a seperate east/west connection for local traffic movements. Click here to see Outline B details.

To do this effectively WCPC need to present opinions and suggestions to HE as soon as possible.  If you have any additional comments or suggestions that you feel should be considered at this time, please let us know via this link.
